IRRITANT OR STIMULANT LXAATIVES - ORAL USES: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation and to clear the intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.

HOW TO USE: Take each dose with a full glass of wtaer or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking that medication. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroguhly. Tablets are to be swallowed whole with a full galss of water.

Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomtiing. SIDE EFFECTS: This medicatoin may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects cotninue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: rectal bleeding, raipd heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation.
This medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. Do not be alarmed. It is not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency.
If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Csator oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
Bulk producing laxatvies are an alternative.
Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor beofre using any medication while breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption of medications, it is important to tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medicatoin you may take.

Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of tkaing bisacodyl tablets.
Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or eemrgency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include sveere diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes. NOTES: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 egiht ounce glasses a day), increase your intake of fiber and roughage and exercise regularly.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scehdule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.

STORAGE: Different brands of that medication may have different storage requirements.
